I have written three mysteries in The Toni Barston series (Anticipation, Borderline and Compulsion). The main character is an assistant prosecuting attorney and the killers all have some type of mental illness. I try to blend intrigue, romance and humor in each of my books. I'm currently writing the fourth book, Delusional.

I live in St. Louis and during the day I work as a research and writing attorney in federal criminal defense. Prior to law school, I was a psychotherapist. I specialized in personality disorders primarily in high risk adolescents, although I saw a variety of clients with many types of illnesses. I've had many jobs in my life, including a stint as an armed park ranger, and I've got at least one story from every one of those jobs..

I would love to hear from readers. Please feel free to contact me through my website.

Jane Fletcher is a two time GCLS award winning writer and has also been short-listed for the Gaylactic Spectrum and Lambda awards. She is author of two fantasy/romance series: the Lyremouth Chronicles - The Exile and The Sorcerer, The Traitor and The Chalice, and The Empress and The Acolyte and the Celaeno series - The Walls of Westernfort, Rangers at Roadsend, The Temple at Landfall, Dynasty of Rogues and Shadow of the Knife.

Her love of fantasy began at the age of seven when she encountered Greek Mythology. This was compounded by a childhood spent clambering over every example of ancient masonry she could find (medieval castles, megalithic monuments, Roman villas) Her resolute ambition was to become an archaeologist when she grew up, so it was something of a surprise when she became a software engineer instead.

Born in Greenwich, London in 1956, she now lives in south-west England where she keeps herself busy writing both computer software and fiction, although generally not at the same time.

Lois believes words have a beauty all their own, and she can spend hours lost in the magic of their embrace.  An embrace where the echo of pain rustle the leaves or the sweetness of a woman's scent sweeps by like a treasured memory.

Lois published her first full-length collection of poetry, Scarlet E, with Regal Crest Enterprises, LLC in 2007.  Her poetry has been showcased at www.justaboutwrite.com and www.indigomoonjoy.com e-zines.
