For the past couple of years there has been some interest voiced about the GCLS producing a video of the Conference. While we cannot video the entire weekend, I am investigating the possibility of producing a video that highlights of the conference. The DVD would also be a great keepsake for those who are attending, allowing you to review select events and catch things you may have missed during the weekend.

The DVD would definitely include the GCLS Awards Program, and highlights throughout that particular evening.  Additionally, we want to include select panels and presentations, as well as candid footage during the weekend. In the past, there has been some discussion concerning individual privacy issues that may arise from producing a video. We are working diligently to create a protocol that would allow us to offer the video, and maintain a safe zone for those attendees who may not feel comfortable being on camera.

At this time, I cannot say which panels and presentations will be included.  We first have to compile a selection of panels and presentation that will provide a comprehensive look at the overall weekend.   Secondly, we will need to obtain permission from the presenter, or panelist to allow us to video their session. The GCLS is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who do not wish to be filmed, therefore there will be limitations placed on some aspects of this project.

I am currently in negotiations with a company that produces videos for corporate events, as well as offering DJ services. We are trying to work out a package deal to have both at the GCLS Conference. However, we would like your input so that we can create the best possible DVD archive for the GCLS Conference.

A poll has been set up on the GCLS Conference Website. Please take a few moments to answer a few questions and let us know your thoughts on this idea. The link to the poll is below.

Thank you in advance for help.
